As part of Pittsburgh Craft Cocktail Week, Adam is hosting a special cocktail event at the IBC this Sunday, from 6 p.m to 9 p.m.
We're calling this event "MoLOCALar for two reasons: 1. we've got bad taste and love word play; 2. it encompasses the event perfectly: Adam is taking molecular riffs on cocktails using only local spirits. Think foams, spherification, dry-ice fogs, etc. and then think Maggie's Farm, Wigle, Stay Tuned and Boyd & Blair. These tasty drinks will please your palate and inner-science geek alike.
Adam will be joined behind the bar by the heir apparent to the hardest working man in show business, Lucky the Painproof Man, who will help pull off this madness. I will also be behind the bar, spinning some of the most "scientific" records ever recorded (think innovative recording techniques like backward guitar loops, the Spector* "wall of sound," etc.) and being generally useless and slightly (read: moderately) inebriated.
